Central Staffing Scheme of Ministry of Environment of Forests
(CSS of MoEF)

 

For manning the pre-identified professional positions in the Ministry, its regional offices, subordinate offices, organizations under its control (located elsewhere in the country) and in other Ministries/Departments, exclusively by IFS, a scheme has been formulated and the guiding principles are notified in the form of a resolution.  The latest comprehensive resolution was notified on 9th May, 2007 and amended on 26.7.2007.

       According to Revised CSS, officers will be empanelled batch-wise for different levels of posts at the beginning of calendar year . Empanelment will be done based on ACRs availability with MoEF. In case of posts at the  level of IGF and  above ,on approval of the recommendations of the screening/selection Committee by the MoS(F&WL), proposals are submitted to DoPT for obtaining approval of the Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC). Lists of officers empanelled will be circulated to the states for seeking the following information in respect of empanelled officers only. 

 

1.     Application in the prescribed format duly forwarded by the State Govt. giving the preference of post/place by officer and willingness of the State to spare the officer.

 

2.     Vigilance clearance from the State Government as well as Central Government .
